Impossibly Fast: Kristian Blummenfelt’s Pursuit of Sub7’ is a documentary that goes behind the scenes with CADEX-sponsored triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt as he prepared for and became the first triathlete to complete a full ironman distance triathlon in less than 7 hours with a time of 6 hours 44 minutes and 25 seconds.
CADEX hired Santara Studios to document the journey across several months in 2022, from January through to the event, which took place in June at the Dekra Lausitzring motor circuit near Dresden, Germany. Santara Studios brought in Director, James Poole to work on the project as we followed Kristian and his team of sports scientists and CADEX product developers as they set out to answer the question, “how fast can we really go?” Across multiple countries, Santara Studios captured high-altitude training camps, wind-tunnel analysis alongside some of Kristian’s 2022 race winning performances in the lead up to Sub7.
Alongside the hero film Santara Studios created promotional material including a poster, trailer and imagery. The film which launched on CADEX’s YouTube channel has to date achieved 73k+ views, with 150k+ views on Instagram promotional content.
