Santara Studios received a brief from HSBC, the title sponsor of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, to bring together a local content crew to capture HSBC activations taking place on the ground at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Vancouver. One of those activations was HSBC’s recently launched World of Opportunity Programme (WOOP).

The WOOP is an initiative from HSBC supporting the next generation of young people hoping to get into sport. A continuation of HSBC’s long-term commitment to creating opportunity for the next generation, this programme gives participants the opportunity to take part in workshops spanning a variety of topics including journalism + media, coaching, and how to use your platform for good…

Santara Studios sourced a best in class local content team from its global network and working closely with HSBC and its external agencies, briefed the content team on the project, POA and final deliverables. This included attending the HSBC World of Opportunity Programme to document the Vancouver edition and create a hero wrap film and a short mini-series including sit down interviews with HSBC Rugby Ambassadors, Nathan Hirayama and Ghislaine Landry.

The WOOP Vancouver wrap film was published on HSBC’s YouTube channel and currently has 75k views. Off the back of this project, Santara Studios has provided local content crews to capture activations at HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Toulouse and Dubai tournaments.
